We can’t wait for the 2024 National Eisteddfod in Rhondda Cynon Taf, here’s what you can expect from our voluntary sector hub on the Maes.
WCVA is really excited to be at the National Eisteddfod at Rhondda Cynon Taf between the 3-10 August 2024. This year, alongside our local partner Interlink, we are coordinating the voluntary sector hub and with almost 50 organisations joining the hub over the course of the week there’ll be plenty going on and something to suit everyone.
If you’re visiting the National Eisteddfod please come and say hi!
WHAT IS HAPPENING DURING THE WEEK?
Thursday 8 August 2024 – Launch of the Welsh Charity Awards
On Thursday we’ll be officially opening the Welsh Charity Awards 2024 for nominations.
The Welsh Charity Awards, organised by WCVA, recognise and celebrate the fantastic contribution charities, community groups, not-for-profits and volunteers make to Wales by highlighting and championing the positive difference we can make to each other’s lives.
Come along and find out all about the awards and how to make a nomination.
Friday 9 August 2024 – Meet the Charity Commission
On Friday the Charity Commission will be in attendance at the voluntary sector hub.
Charity Commission Board Member, Pippa Britton – along with WCVA’s new Chief Executive, Lindsay Cordery-Bruce – would love people to come and say hello and chat with them about how as a sector we can encourage trusteeship and volunteering.
ALSO AT THE VOLUNTARY SECTOR HUB
The hub will feature a mix of national and smaller local organisations, all with the aim of demonstrating the fantastic work of charities and voluntary groups across Wales.
Make sure you pop over to say hello if you’re on the Maes. You can get your festival glitter face, try your hand at basic pottery or just to have a chat with our inspiring voluntary organisations.
We can’t wait to see you there!
