WCVA’s AGM and annual lecture 2020

Published : 29/09/20 | Categories: Training & events |

Our AGM and annual lecture will take place online in November, featuring fantastic guest speakers, networking opportunities, and this year’s lecture delivered by Danny Sriskandarajah, CEO of Oxfam.

WCVA is delighted to announce our AGM and annual lecture which will take place online this year on Thursday 19 November 2020 from 12 pm to 3 pm.

Both the AGM and annual lecture are free to attend but are exclusively for WCVA members (more information below).

WHAT TO EXPECT

AGM

Our AGM will be held between 12 pm and 1 pm and will include highlights from WCVA’s annual report, financial report, two fantastic guest speakers from Blood Bikes and Cyfrwng, highlights from our October #NotTheWelshCharityAwards campaign, and more.

Please note that while we warmly welcome multiple attendees from the same organisation, only one person may vote on resolutions on behalf of the member organisation.

Networking

Following the AGM, there will be opportunities to join virtual networking lunch breaks from 1 pm to 2 pm. We will have multiple 20-minute lunch time networking sessions on different topics, hosted jointly by some our expert staff members and trustees.

All members are welcome to pop into any of the sessions and have a causal chat or ask any questions you may have. The themes are: grants, green recovery, equality, diversity and inclusion, European matters, finance, and youth engagement. The links to these break out rooms will be included in the joining email.

Annual lecture 2020

Lastly, we will close with our exciting annual lecture from 2 pm to 3 pm. This year, we are extremely pleased to announce that Danny Sriskandarajah, CEO of Oxfam, will be delivering the lecture ‘How a global charity can deliver locally’.

This lecture will be followed by an open Q&A with those in attendance.

It is not mandatory that you join us for the whole three hours, but it would be wonderful to have you participate wherever possible.
