Head of Health & Social Care

Duration: maternity cover for up to 12 months from September/October 2023.

Hours: 35 hours per week, flexibly

Location: WCVA operates a hybrid and flexible working policy which means our people can work a proportion of their time at our offices or remotely (including at home).  We are a pan Wales organisation with office hubs in Abergele, Aberystwyth and Cardiff.  There will be a requirement to attend some specific staff events and work engagements at our offices

Salary: £38,485 increasing to £40,537 per annum following successful completion of a six-month probationary period

Are you passionate about the difference charities and volunteers make to health and well-being in Wales?  Join us to advocate for the sector, and lead WCVA’s stakeholder engagement and influencing work on health and social care.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working at a senior level in health and social care in the public or voluntary sector, to join a team working to drive change to ensure that voluntary organisations and volunteers are valued as trusted and equal partners, integral to the delivery of health and care in Wales.

You will act as a national and strategic liaison point for the voluntary sector in Wales. Working with Welsh Government and other public bodies you will support joint work to maximise the voluntary sector’s contribution to the government’s transformation agenda for A Healthier Wales.
