Trustees’ Week takes place from 3 – 7 November in 2025 and we’re running a series of free events to mark the occasion.
WHAT IS TRUSTEES’ WEEK?
Trustees’ Week is an annual event to showcase the great work that trustees do and highlight the opportunities for people from all walks of life to get involved and make a difference.
This year’s theme is Celebrating, Inspiring and Supporting. We’re celebrating this week by hosting a series of free online events for trustees (and those who’d like to know more about becoming one) to participate in.

Based on the number of enquiries the Charity Commission receive associated to conflicts of interest, they are in the process of redesigning their guidance in reference to this important topic. In this session you will be able to find out more about the changes to the guidance and how this will help trustees to better understand and manage conflicts of interest.

This session will provide an overview on what every charity needs to know about the UK governments new Employment Rights Bill and how to prepare for its arrival.
Changes to The Charities Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) – Charity Commission Review
6 November 2025, 2pm – 2:30pm
The Charity Commission will give an update on the development of SORP 2026 and provide information on steps that charities can take now to get ready for the new SORP.
The Charities SORP provides guidance to preparers of charity accounts. The SORP provides recommendations and requirements setting out how to prepare ‘true and fair’ accounts in accordance with UK accounting standards. The SORP is updated from time to time to take account of changes to accounting standards and/or charity law.
