Safeguarding webinar – 11 November 2020 | 10:00am – 11:00am
Delivered through the medium of English
Find out how to review and amend your safeguarding policy in relation to the COVID-19 crisis.
The COVID-19 crisis has raised multiple safeguarding issues for voluntary organisations, from how to adapt services to meet the needs of people who may be at risk and how to keep staff, beneficiaries and volunteers safe in this situation. Never has the phrase “Safeguarding is everyone’s business” been more relevant.
The first in our autumn series of webinars will help you review your safeguarding policy and provide practical guidance on how to go about updating and amending it to make sure it’s fit for purpose.
Good and appropriate safeguarding provides public reassurance about your organisation and contributes to the positive reputation of the voluntary sector in general.
By the end of the webinar participants will:
- Have increased awareness of why safeguarding activity needs to adapt to the COVID-19 situation
- Have increased understanding of why they should review their safeguarding policies in the light of COVID-19
- Have increased knowledge of the key issues to think about when reviewing their safeguarding policies and how to keep things current in a changing situation
- Have increased awareness of useful tools and resources
Who the session is for
This webinar will be suitable for all those staff, volunteers and trustees who are involved in drafting and updating their organisation’s safeguarding policies.
