To consider how safeguarding might work in a primarily digital / online environment.
The past year with the COVID-19 crisis has raised multiple safeguarding issues for voluntary organisations, from how to adapt services to meet the needs of people who may be at risk and how to keep staff, beneficiaries and volunteers safe in this situation. Never has the phrase “Safeguarding is everyone’s business” been more relevant.
The second in our Spring series of webinars will discuss the issue of online safety and how we might always think and practice safeguarding as we connect digitally.
Good and appropriate safeguarding provides public reassurance about your organisation and contributes to the positive reputation of the voluntary sector in general.
The webinar will cover:
- Considerations to make the online environment safe for all to use
- How an organisation might practice safeguarding while connecting with people in the digital realm
- What have we learnt that may enhance safeguarding practice?
Who is the webinar for?
This webinar will be suitable for all those staff, volunteers and trustees who have responsibility for safeguarding in their organisations.
