16 March 2021 | 2pm – 3pm
Delivered through the medium of English
To provide a summary of the latest updates and changes in the world of charity governance, with a particular focus on the new version of the UK Charity Governance Code.
Good governance is essential to the success of voluntary organisations, but it can be difficult to stay informed, especially now that we are dealing with the coronavirus pandemic.
This webinar will focus on the refreshed version of the UK Charity Governance Code which was launched in November 2020.
The main changes see clearer recommended practice in the renamed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Principle, and updates to the Integrity Principle to emphasise ethics and the right of everyone who has contact with the charity to be safe.
By the end of the webinar participants will:
- Be aware of the UK Charity Governance Code
- Be aware of the latest changes to the Code
- Have increased knowledge of how to apply the changes in their charity
- Be aware of tools and resources that can support good governance
Who the session is for
This session will be useful for anyone with an interest in charity governance but will be particularly relevant for trustees and senior staff who are directly involved in the governance of a charity.
