Aims

To equip learners with the skills and knowledge to understand the process of effective trustee recruitment, to understand good practice regarding trustee induction, and to be able to implement effective trustee recruitment and induction processes. 

Content

This course is for existing trustees and officers who work with trustees. It covers the essentials of effective trustee recruitment and induction, including roles and responsibilities, and an understanding of what constitutes good practice. 

Learning outcomes 

By the end of this session, learners will: 

  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of being a trustee 
  • Understand the process of effective trustee recruitment 
  • Understand what constitutes good practice 
  • Be able to implement effective trustee recruitment and induction processes 
  • Know where to find relevant resources and guidance 

Who the session is for

Existing trustees, and officers responsible for managing the board and trustees. This course can be adapted for different audiences and schedules.
