Aim
Getting staff recruitment right by being efficient and effective is essential to organisations. The aim of this half-day online course is to build your knowledge and confidence when recruiting and selecting staff.
Content
This participative training course focuses on best practice in recruitment and selection. We cover the basics of effective recruitment and selection as well as offering tools and techniques to give you confidence.
The training will include presentation, small group work and reflective practice, supported by PowerPoint slides and a full set of handouts.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the training participants will:
- Have an overview of the law relating to recruitment and selection
- Be able to plan a structured recruitment process
- Have reflected on who are we looking for – getting the job description and person specification right
- Explored effective assessment and selection methods
- Understand how to get the best out of recruitment interviews, by using insightful questions
Who the course for
This course is for people who are new to recruitment or as a refresher.
Course requirements
To ensure you have the best experience on our courses we ask the following of you;
- Commit to attend the full duration of the training
- Test your access to Zoom
- Training will commence promptly, please arrive 10 minutes prior to the start time, as late arrivals may not admitted
- Our courses are interactive and engaging and we request where possible, that all learners have camera’s on and participate via microphone and chat facilities
- Let us know upon booking if you have any specific requirements ie BSL interpreters
