Trustee
As Professor of Health and Care Policy at the University of South Wales, Mark has been immersed in the issues of the third sector in Wales for many years. His work has centred on understanding the ways in which relationships between local and national third sector organisations can be improved, and through evaluating the direct impacts that organisations have for those in need.
Mark recognises the challenge in measuring outcomes which has become such an important part of the role of the sector. He sits on WCVA’s Impact Working Group, and is working through these issues for the organisation. He is also part of the WCVA Audit and Risk Committee.
Mark lives in Hendy, Carmarthenshire, where he volunteers as a parent governor at the local primary school. He enjoys watching his three sons take part in a range of sports, and supports the work of the junior section of the local rugby club, currently as Treasurer, and previously as Chair.
