David Cook, Policy Officer

Policy Officer

Dave began at WCVA in 2009, working in marketing and communications before moving to his current role a few years ago. He enjoys helping voluntary organisations to be heard by decision-makers, knowing the positive difference this can have around the country.

Dave writes consultation responses, newsletters, website content, reports and more besides, as well as taking part in numerous meetings between the sector and Ministers. Dave also coordinates Third Sector Support Wales’ work on demonstrating its impact – and plays a similar role in WCVA’s impact work.

With a background in journalism Dave finds both the creativity and writing skills that were so important in that world incredibly useful tools here at WCVA.

In his spare time Dave is a keen fiction writer specialising in short stories.
