Sustainable Funding Manager
Since discovering a love of charity work through her involvement in Swansea University’s RAG Society (of which she was latterly President), Alison has worked in a variety of third sector (and third sector-adjacent) roles.
Most recently, this has included two years as a Third Sector Development Officer at Cardiff Third Sector Council and establishing and running the Fundraising Health Check project for Institute of Fundraising (IoF) Cymru.
Alison is very proud to have joined WCVA in July 2019 as Project Manager of Catalyst Cymru: Resilient Heritage, before moving into the Sustainable Funding Manager role in January 2020.
Originally from England but now officially a Wales rugby supporter, Alison is very passionate about the third sector in Wales, helping it to develop and become more sustainable and ensuring that Wales is not forgotten in UK-wide sector conversations.
She is a founding director of Men’s Sheds Cymru Association and volunteers for IoF Cymru.
In her own time, Alison runs half marathons, crochets blankets and watches ‘too much’ television.
