Head of Support

Since discovering a love of charity work through her involvement in Swansea University’s RAG Society, Alison has worked in a variety of voluntary (and voluntary sector-adjacent) organisations.

Alison originally joined WCVA in 2019 following previous roles at Cardiff Third Sector Council and Chartered Institute of Fundraising Cymru. After joining the organisation as Catalyst Cymru Manager, she spent over three years as Sustainable Funding Manager before being appointed to the role of Head of Support.

Originally from England but now officially a Wales rugby supporter, Alison is very passionate about the voluntary sector in Wales, helping it to develop and become more sustainable and ensuring that Wales is not forgotten in UK-wide sector conversations.

She is a trustee at Fair Treatment for Women of Wales and sits on St John Ambulance Cymru’s Fundraising and Engagement Committee.

In her own time, Alison runs half marathons, crochets blankets and watches ‘too much’ television.
