Sector meets with Minister to discuss economy and transport

The third sector recently met with Lee Waters, Deputy Minister for Economy and Infrastructure.

Representatives of Wales Environment Link, Guide Dogs Cymru, Social Firms Wales and Wales Cooperative Centre attended this meeting, among others.

The Deputy minister heard an update on arrangements for a roundtable to discuss the environment and the Foundational Economy.

The group also discussed how to connect different sectors and networks together to achieve policy objectives, and the new responsible business benchmarking tool.

Finally, the group discussed how the social enterprise sector can become an important but distinct part of the Foundational Economy, heard an update on the Social Partnership Bill, and further discussed the need for legislation to deliver disability training for taxi drivers.
