Safeguarding Week takes place from 10 to 14 November 2025 – here’s a rundown on a series of events that WCVA and others are running to mark the occasion.

Myth busted! Your questions answered on safeguarding, DBS, and the Charity Commission

It is a common myth that safeguarding and DBS checks are the same thing. In reality, a DBS check is only one element of a charity’s wider safeguarding duties.

The risks of AI to children

This session explores the dangers AI poses to children in schools, from exposure to harmful content, grooming, and bullying, to privacy breaches, manipulation, and radicalisation.
