We’re excited to announce an update to our Voluntary Sector Data Hub, featuring a new look and feel along with the most up to date data and information.
DATA FOR WALES
The Data Hub, which is a joint project developed and maintained by Data Cymru and WCVA, is the go to place for statistical information about voluntary sector activities, including numbers of organisations, sector income, volunteering hours, areas of work, where groups are located and more.
Information can be presented to suit you and data can be organised by type, whether that’s gender, age, location or other categories. The Data Hub is a resource intended to help demonstrate the impact of the voluntary sector’s work in Wales.
DEEPER INSIGHT
This update enhances user experience and provides deeper insights into various sectors through newly sourced data.
Some of the changes include:
- An overview of companies in Wales, complete with a detailed breakdown of sectors.
- Employment data within the voluntary sector now features a regional breakdown, providing a clearer picture of employment trends and patterns across different areas.
- The ‘Volunteering’ section has been reorganised to offer a more detailed analysis by age and sex breakdowns.
- The Income and Funding Data (from NCVO) has been restructured offering a more comprehensive view of financial trends.
- We have removed Welsh Government expenditure types from the dashboard as they are no longer reported, ensuring the data presented is current and relevant.
- An additional page has been introduced to provide detailed information on the data structure and sources used in the dashboard, enhancing transparency and user understanding.
The update also improves the presentation of the data, making it more accessible for users.
