Last chance for growth & asset development funding

Published : 10/03/22 | Categories: Funding | News |

As the clock runs down on European funding, groups are being encouraged to apply for the final rounds of the Community Asset Development Fund and the Social Business Growth Fund.

Do you want to preserve a local community hub or pub for your area? Or do you have an idea for a social business or want help to take your organisation to the next level? Now is your last chance to apply for European funding to make it happen.

WCVA has two different funds available for voluntary organisations in Wales. The Community Asset Development Fund (CADF) supports social businesses that are aiming to bring an asset into community ownership, while the Social Business Growth Fund (SBGF) supports social businesses financially to enable them to grow and create job opportunities.

WHAT THE FUNDING CAN DO FOR YOU

Are you looking to bring an asset into community ownership and have identified that there are potential income generation opportunities as a result? CADF may be the fund for you as it offers funding to purchase or renovate an asset that will generate social as well as financial outcomes.

SBGF can help push a social business forward with funding to invest in income generating activity, create jobs and set them on the path to becoming self-sufficient.

But hurry, this is the last opportunity to take advantage of the funds.

TALK TO US BEFORE APPLYING

Any interested organisations are being asked to contact the Social Investment Cymru team at WCVA to talk through their ideas and see if they might be eligible for funding.

Organisations can apply for up to £150,000 of funding through CADF and SBGF, in a mixture of grant funding and repayable finance.

Time to apply is running out.

Please contact Social Investment Cymru to discuss your investment ideas.
