After ten years the Inspiring Impact programme, a UK wide initiative to support good impact practice across the sector, has officially come to a close.
WCVA was a partner in the programme from 2017 onwards, as part of our commitment to supporting voluntary organisations across Wales to demonstrate their impact.
There was significant engagement with Inspiring Impact from organisations based in Wales and we would like to thank everyone who supported and participated in the programme and contributed to its success.
NEW HOME FOR RESOURCES
Following the closure of the programme, the resources that previously lived on the Inspiring Impact website have been moved to new homes. Most of the resources have been rehomed by New Philanthropy Capital and can be accessed from this page (English only).
The resources include –
- a step-by-step approach you can adopt to measure the impact of your organisation (called the Cycle of Good Impact Practice)
- a jargon buster guide
- a diagnostic tool on what data to collect and how
- information on the principles that should inform impact practice (the Code of Good Impact Practice)
The resources provide practical, step-by-step guidance to build your impact practice.
WIDER LEARNING PROGRAMME
Running for over a decade, Inspiring Impact was an ambitious programme which brought together a range of delivery partners and tested new and collaborative approaches to support good impact practice. An external evaluation of the project has been undertaken to capture what has been achieved in the past 10 years and to share what we’ve learnt, in the hope it will be taken on board and applied to the development of future initiatives. You can find the summary report and the full version of the evaluation here (English only).
LOOKING FORWARD
WCVA are already working on the next step in our approach to impact practice, to build on the legacy of the Inspiring Impact programme.
