An opportunity to hear updates from the Charity Commission on their current work.
WHAT WILL I LEARN ABOUT?
On the 18 October WCVA is hosting a hybrid session with the Charity Commission to provide an opportunity for any registered charity to come and listen to updates on key guidance issued by the commission.
The Commission’s Director of Policy and Communications will give an update on some of their current key areas of focus, such as upcoming campaigns, events and recently published guidance.
It will provide an opportunity to discuss and ask questions on areas such as the commission’s social media guidance which was published following formal consultation. The guidance will support trustees using social media and you can find more information on this here.
MY CHARITY COMMISSION ACCOUNT
This year the way charities access the commissions online services has changed with the introduction of the new ‘My Charity Commission Account’. The session will provide an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback on how this change has affected you.
There will be an open floor for questions on all things linked to the Charity Commission and for you to share your experiences, the issues and challenges being faced by charities in Wales.
WHEN AND WHERE?
The event will be hosted by WCVA in hybrid format on 18 October 2023, 10.30 am – 12 pm.
The session will be hybrid, with in-person attendees welcome to join from WCVA’s Cardiff office.
It’s open to all registered charities but places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
HOW DO I TAKE PART?
To secure your space in this conversation please email policy@wcva.cymru indicating if you would like to join in person or online.
Please can you also indicate if you would like to contribute to the session through the medium of Welsh or English.
