We’re looking for a motivated and organised intern to support the delivery of the Wales Human Rights Congress 2026.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a motivated and organised intern to support the delivery of the Wales Human Rights Congress 2026, taking place on 16 September at Cardiff City Stadium.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event coordination, stakeholder engagement, and policy-related work, while contributing to a national event focused on advancing human rights in Wales.

Working closely with the Human Rights Policy Manager, you’ll play a key role in helping plan, promote and deliver the Congress, as well as supporting wider activity linked to human rights policy and engagement.

Location: Cardiff
Salary: £13.45 per hour
Hours: 35 hours per week, flexible (part-time considered)
Duration: June – September 2026

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

You’ll support across a range of activities, including:

  • Assisting with the development of the Congress programme and agenda
  • Providing administrative and coordination support to organising and policy working groups
  • Helping organise and promote pre-event training and information sessions
  • Liaising with speakers, interpreters, and event partners
  • Supporting communications and promotion to encourage attendance
  • Responding to enquiries about the Congress
  • Providing on-the-day support at the Congress event

  • An understanding of administration and/or events or conferences
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • A proactive, collaborative approach
  • Commitment to creating an inclusive and anti-racist environment
