Celebrate Volunteers’ Week 2020

Volunteers’ Week is a ‘time to celebrate’! It’s an annual UK wide celebration of volunteers taking place each year between 1-7 June and the perfect time to say a big ‘thank you’ to your volunteers.

It is also a chance to highlight the variety of volunteer roles and activities, showing ways in which people can get involved as volunteers in their local communities.

This is the time when the people of Wales have an opportunity to show their appreciation to the people who donate their time freely each year to good causes and help to contribute to the rich and diverse culture of Wales.

Volunteers make an enormous contribution to the health and wellbeing of Wales and one of the great things about volunteering is how it brings people who might not usually come in to contact with each other, together.

Activities are taking place the length and breadth of Wales to highlight the work of volunteers and celebrate their involvement.

Voluntary organisations throughout Wales will be saying thank you to existing volunteers in different ways during Volunteers’ Week and staging public events to attract more volunteers on board.

Organisations arranging local events during Volunteers’ Week are encouraged to register their activities on the official Volunteers’ Week website.
