Working with Utility Aid we’re gathering insights on voluntary sector energy usage, exploring the potential of our collective purchasing power and helping organisations to reduce running costs.
The last three years have been difficult for most industries, but the voluntary sector has been hit hard. It is estimated that a third of local charities in the UK are seeing utility costs rise by over 60%. Additionally, in the most recent wave of the SCVO third sector tracker, 46% of voluntary organisations in Scotland said that energy costs impacted their ability to deliver core services.
In Wales, we know many organisations want to go greener and are looking for a more affordable energy supply. To help us scope a potential bulk purchase scheme for renewable energy we are seeking more detail on your energy needs and priorities.
In collaboration with WCVA, Utility Aid has launched a survey to find out what can be done to help voluntary organisations in Wales to reduce their running costs and become greener.
WHY GET INVOLVED?
By completing the survey you will be helping to provide much needed insight for Utility Aid to launch a collective purchasing scheme that is fit for the voluntary sector. It will also empower charity leaders to make the right decisions in purchasing clean energy that is produced ethically.
TAKING PART IN THE SURVEY
Your answers will be anonymised in any public reports that are produced, and you do not need to provide any personal data unless you are happy for Utility Aid to get in touch. The results from the survey will be shared with WCVA and Utility Aid.
